We built this extension to help you do better SEO — not to collect your data. Here's everything we do and don't do with any information this extension touches.
We collect zero personal information, browsing history, or usage analytics.
Your API key and preferences stay on your device. Nothing is sent to our servers.
The only external request is to NVIDIA's inference API — triggered only by you.
Semantic SEO Expert ("the Extension", "we", "our") is a Chrome browser extension that provides a library of advanced Semantic SEO prompts based on Koray Tuğberk GÜBÜR's methodology, powered by NVIDIA NIM free AI inference models.
This Privacy Policy explains what information is accessed, stored, or transmitted when you use the Extension. We are committed to being fully transparent about our data practices.
Short version: We don't run servers, we don't collect analytics, we don't track behavior, and we don't sell or share any data. The Extension works entirely on your device except for AI inference calls that you explicitly initiate to NVIDIA's API.
The Extension accesses the following data — all of which is handled entirely on your local device:
If you choose to enter your NVIDIA NIM API key, it is stored locally in Chrome's chrome.storage.local — your device only. It is never transmitted to any server we operate, never logged, and never shared with any third party other than NVIDIA's inference endpoint (which requires it for authentication).
When you use the right-click context menu feature to send selected text to a prompt, the Extension reads only the text you have highlighted. This text is temporarily held in memory to populate the prompt template and is never stored, transmitted to our servers, or logged anywhere.
The extension's prompt library JSON file is bundled with the extension package and may be cached locally. This is a static configuration file containing no personal data.
The following data is explicitly never collected, stored, or transmitted by this Extension:
We operate no analytics infrastructure, no backend servers, and no databases. There is simply nowhere for your data to go except to NVIDIA's inference API — and only when you manually trigger a prompt.
Chrome extensions require explicit permissions to function. Here is a complete explanation of every permission this Extension requests and exactly why each one is necessary:
| Permission | Why it's needed | What it does NOT do |
|---|---|---|
| storage | Saves your NVIDIA API key and extension preferences (e.g., last selected prompt category) locally on your device. | Does not sync data to any cloud service or external server controlled by us. |
| activeTab | Allows the extension to read selected text from the current tab when you trigger a context menu prompt. Access is granted only at the moment you right-click — not passively. | Does not read full page content, cookies, passwords, or any data outside your text selection. |
| contextMenus | Adds a "Send to SEO prompt" item to your right-click menu when text is selected on any web page. | Does not interact with the page or collect any data on its own — only activates when you click the menu item. |
| scripting | Injects a minimal content script to capture your currently selected text when you use the context menu. The script runs only on user action, not on page load. | Does not run persistent scripts, modify page content, read cookies, or track user behavior. |
| clipboardWrite | Copies the fully assembled SEO prompt to your clipboard with one click, so you can paste it into any AI tool. | Does not read clipboard contents. |
| clipboardRead | Allows you to paste content (e.g., large keyword datasets) directly into the extension's input fields using standard paste functionality. | Does not read clipboard contents without an explicit paste action initiated by you. Does not transmit clipboard data anywhere. |
| sidePanel | Displays the extension's full UI in Chrome's native side panel — so you can use SEO prompts alongside any web page without opening a new tab. | Does not access the page being viewed in the main frame. |
| https://integrate.api.nvidia.com/* | Sends your assembled prompts to NVIDIA NIM's free AI inference API and retrieves the response. This is the only external network call the extension makes, and it is always initiated by you clicking "Run". | Does not send data to any other domain. Does not transmit your API key to any server we control. |
| <all_urls> | Required for the content script to capture selected text on any web page you choose to use the context menu on. Without this, the "send selected text to prompt" feature cannot work across all websites. | Does not read page content passively. Does not monitor your browsing. The script only activates when you trigger the context menu action. |
The <all_urls> host permission causes Chrome to display an "in-depth review" warning in the Web Store. This is standard for any extension that needs to capture selected text across websites. We want to be transparent: the permission is used solely for the context menu text-selection feature. No background data collection occurs.
When you run a prompt, the assembled prompt text is sent to NVIDIA's inference API endpoint at https://integrate.api.nvidia.com. This request includes:
NVIDIA's handling of this data is governed by NVIDIA's Privacy Policy. We recommend reviewing it if you have concerns about how NVIDIA processes inference requests.
The Extension does not use Google Analytics, Facebook Pixel, Mixpanel, Segment, Sentry, or any other analytics, error-tracking, or advertising service.
The Extension contains no advertisements, sponsored content, or affiliate tracking of any kind. It is entirely free with no monetization model that involves user data.
All data the Extension stores is kept in chrome.storage.local, which is:
We do not operate any cloud storage, databases, or backend servers. There is no "account" associated with this Extension and no login required.
