This Privacy Policy explains how the Currency Converter & Calculator Chrome extension (“the Extension”) handles information when you use it. We are committed to protecting your privacy and being transparent about our practices.

2. Information We Collect

The Extension does not collect, store, or transmit any personally identifiable information.

• We do not collect your name, email address, or contact details.
• We do not track browsing history.
• We do not use analytics or advertising trackers.
• We do not sell or share any data with third parties.

3. Data Stored Locally

The Extension may store limited preferences on your device using Chrome’s local storage (for example, last selected currencies or active tab). This data:

• Stays only on your device
• Is never sent to our servers
• Can be cleared by removing the Extension or clearing browser data

4. Third-Party Services

To provide live currency exchange rates, the Extension may request data from a public exchange rate API (such as ExchangeRate-API). When this happens:

• Only a request for currency rates is made
• No personal information is included in the request
• The API provider’s own privacy policy applies to their service

The SadaPay fee calculator uses the same rate source and applies fixed calculations (markup and fee percentage) entirely on your device.

5. Permissions

The Extension uses the following permissions only for its core features:

• storage – to save your preferences locally on your device
• Host permission for the exchange rate API – to fetch live currency rates

These permissions are not used for any other purpose.

6. Children’s Privacy

The Extension is not directed at children under 13. We do not knowingly collect any information from children.

7. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. The “Last updated” date at the top will reflect any changes. Continued use of the Extension after changes means you accept the updated policy.
